We are grateful to the many partners of the Columbia 50th Birthday Celebration. These partners continue to provide significant resources to the planning and execution of events, programs and activities of the celebration.
In 2013, it was the Columbia Association that initiated the planning of the 50th birthday. They formed the 501C3 corporation and extended the invitations to the initial Board of Directors. The Columbia Association continues to play a leadership role in the number of employees they have involved in the birthday celebration and the financial resources that they have committed to the three years of planning and celebration.
CFA spotlights Columbia and Howard County as an arts and cultural hub known far and wide as a dynamic place to live, work, and visit. Through its cultural and artistic presentations – combined with active participation and partnerships within the community – the Festival will stimulate a new creative vitality throughout the region.
The Downtown Columbia Partnership strives to present an urban district that embodies Columbia’s downtown vision and embraces the future. It promotes the community and its businesses, implements beautification projects, supports transportation initiatives and brings people together. The Downtown Columbia Partnership looks out for the best interests of the community as a whole, as well as the people who make it special.
